Refund Policy of AOS Office
AOS Office, operated by Amlu Online Services (AOS), provides a combination of online and offline services to individuals, families, professionals, businesses and organizations. Our services include information technology solutions, web design and development, computer assistance, business facilitation, intermediary services, real estate and property mediation, professional connections, matrimony services, astrology and horoscope consultations, solar and energy-related facilitation, elevator and lift service coordination, digital services and other appointment-based or customized services.
Because our services differ considerably in their nature, method of delivery, level of customization and involvement of third-party professionals, refunds cannot be governed by a single rule applicable to every service.
This Refund Policy therefore explains how AOS Office handles cancellations, refunds, partial refunds, service credits, adjustments and non-refundable amounts depending upon the nature and stage of the service.
Our Refund Principles
AOS Office follows a fair and service-based approach when evaluating refund requests.
Fairness
Refund decisions are intended to maintain a reasonable balance between the customer's rights and the actual work, resources, commitments and expenses incurred by AOS Office.
Service-Based Assessment
The amount of work already completed, resources committed, appointments attended and third-party expenses may be considered when determining an eligible refund.
Transparent Communication
Customers are encouraged to contact AOS Office as soon as possible if they wish to cancel, modify or discontinue a service.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to unlawfully exclude or restrict any mandatory consumer right or legal remedy available under applicable law.
1. General Refund Policy
AOS Office generally accepts refund requests where a refund is legally or contractually applicable and where the service has not already been substantially performed.
Where work has already commenced, AOS Office may assess the amount of work completed before determining whether a full refund, partial refund, service adjustment or no refund is appropriate.
A payment is not automatically refundable merely because the customer subsequently changes their mind, decides not to continue, becomes unavailable, does not provide required information, or chooses not to use a completed service.
However, AOS Office will consider each legitimate request reasonably and in accordance with the nature of the service, the agreed terms, applicable consumer protection requirements and the circumstances of the transaction.
2. Cancellation Before Service Commences
If a customer cancels a service before AOS Office has commenced substantive work, AOS Office may consider a refund of the unused service amount.
Any reasonable amount already incurred for payment processing, third-party booking, professional reservation, documentation, travel arrangements, government or statutory charges, or other non-recoverable expenses may be deducted where applicable and legally permissible.
Where no work has commenced and no non-refundable third-party cost has been incurred, AOS Office will make reasonable efforts to process an eligible refund.
3. Cancellation After Work Has Started
Once AOS Office begins providing a service, the service may involve planning, consultation, communication, research, design, development, configuration, documentation, coordination, introductions, field work or other professional activities.
If the customer cancels after such work has commenced, AOS Office may calculate the value of work already performed and deduct applicable committed costs before determining any refundable amount.
Depending upon the circumstances, the customer may receive:
- A full refund of the unused portion;
- A partial refund;
- A service credit or adjustment;
- A revised scope of work; or
- No refund where the contracted service has already been substantially completed.
4. Refunds for IT, Web Design & Digital Services
IT services are often customized according to the customer's requirements. They may include website planning, web design, development, coding, software configuration, server setup, migration, script installation, SEO work, digital marketing, security work, maintenance or technical support.
Refund eligibility for these services depends primarily on the stage of work.
Before Development Begins
If a project is cancelled before substantial development or design work begins, the refundable amount may be considered after deducting any agreed booking amount, third-party expenses or work already completed.
After Design or Development Begins
Once design, coding, development, configuration or other project work has started, charges relating to completed work may not be refundable.
Completed Projects
Payments relating to successfully completed and delivered services are generally not refundable merely because the customer later changes their requirements or decides not to use the completed work.
Customer Delays
If project completion is delayed because the customer does not provide content, credentials, approvals, technical information, access or other required materials, such delay does not automatically create a refund entitlement.
5. Computer & Remote IT Support Refunds
Remote computer assistance and technical support are generally appointment-based services.
Where technical support has already been provided, the service fee generally relates to the time, diagnosis, troubleshooting, communication and technical effort provided and may therefore not be refundable merely because the customer did not achieve the expected result.
Where an appointment is cancelled before the service begins, AOS Office may consider rescheduling or refunding the appointment fee, depending upon the applicable service terms.
6. Intermediary & Business Facilitation Services
AOS Office may act as an intermediary or facilitator by connecting customers with businesses, professionals, buyers, sellers, agents, consultants, service providers or other participating parties.
Depending upon the service, AOS may provide introductions, communication assistance, information exchange, coordination, appointment arrangements, negotiation support or other facilitation.
AOS Office does not necessarily become a party to the underlying transaction between the parties introduced through its intermediary service.
Accordingly, an intermediary service fee generally relates to the facilitation activity undertaken by AOS Office and not to the ultimate success, profitability or completion of the independent transaction between third parties.
Refunds for Intermediary Services
Where AOS has already performed the agreed facilitation activity, including making introductions, arranging communication, coordinating meetings or providing agreed intermediary assistance, the applicable service fee may not be refundable merely because the parties subsequently decide not to proceed with their independent transaction.
If AOS Office has not yet commenced the agreed intermediary activity, a cancellation request may be considered according to the applicable service terms.
7. Real Estate & Property Mediation Services
AOS Office may facilitate communication between property owners, buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, agents, brokers and other participants in property-related transactions.
Property transactions are ultimately subject to the independent decisions, documentation, verification and agreements of the participating parties.
Where AOS has performed an agreed property facilitation or intermediary service, the corresponding service or facilitation fee may not become refundable solely because the buyer and seller later fail to complete their transaction.
Where a written agreement specifically provides for a success-based commission or another refund arrangement, that agreement will be considered when evaluating the payment.
Government charges, registration charges, legal fees, professional fees, travel expenses and third-party charges are normally outside the control of AOS Office and may be non-refundable where already incurred.
8. Matrimony Services
AOS Office provides matrimonial and matchmaking-related services through its specialized matrimonial services and websites.
Matrimonial services may include profile registration, profile assistance, profile review, matchmaking assistance, enquiry coordination, customer support and other services depending upon the selected plan.
Digital Matrimonial Services
Once a paid matrimonial service has been activated and the agreed service has commenced, the applicable fee may become non-refundable to the extent permitted by law and the agreed service terms.
Profile Services
Fees relating to profile preparation, verification assistance, profile publication, administrative processing or other completed services may not be refundable after those services have been substantially performed.
Matchmaking Outcome
Matrimonial services are facilitation and matchmaking services. AOS Office cannot guarantee that a customer will receive a specific number of enquiries, matches, meetings, engagement or marriage.
Therefore, the absence of a desired matrimonial outcome by itself does not constitute proof of service deficiency or automatically create a refund entitlement.
9. Astrology & Horoscope Services
AOS Office may provide Vedic astrology, Tamil astrology, horoscope interpretation and related consultation services through online communication channels.
Astrology services are interpretive and advisory in nature and are based on information supplied by the customer and traditional astrological methods.
Once a personalized astrology consultation, prediction or interpretation has been prepared or delivered, the applicable service fee is generally non-refundable because the personalized service has already been performed.
If the customer provides incorrect or incomplete birth information, the resulting interpretation may be affected. Customers are responsible for providing accurate information.
Astrology services do not constitute medical, legal, financial, investment or professional advice unless expressly stated otherwise.
10. Solar, Elevator and Other Coordinated Services
AOS Office may facilitate or coordinate enquiries relating to solar energy systems, solar installations, lifts, elevators and other specialized services through appropriate service providers or professionals.
Depending upon the transaction, AOS may act as an intermediary, facilitator, coordinator or service connector rather than as the manufacturer, installer or principal supplier.
If a third-party supplier, installer, manufacturer or professional has already received payment or incurred costs, the refund may be governed by that provider's applicable terms.
AOS Office will reasonably assist the customer in communicating with the relevant provider where such assistance forms part of the agreed service.
11. Appointment-Based Services
Several AOS Office services operate through prior appointments, including consultations, technical assistance, intermediary meetings, business discussions and certain professional services.
Customers should provide reasonable notice when requesting cancellation or rescheduling.
Where an appointment has already been reserved and substantial preparation or professional time has been committed, AOS Office may offer rescheduling instead of a refund.
Repeated failure to attend an appointment without reasonable notice may result in the appointment being treated as consumed, subject to the specific service terms and applicable law.
12. Third-Party & External Charges
Certain AOS services may involve third-party platforms, hosting providers, domain registrars, payment gateways, advertising platforms, software vendors, consultants, government departments, professional service providers, travel providers, installers or other external organizations.
Amounts already paid to or incurred from such third parties may be non-refundable where the third party does not provide a refund.
AOS Office will not knowingly retain an amount that is legally required to be returned merely because a third-party provider is involved. Any refund entitlement will be evaluated according to the actual transaction and applicable law.
13. Refunds Where AOS Has Not Delivered the Agreed Service
AOS Office takes reasonable steps to provide services according to the agreed scope.
If AOS Office has accepted payment for a defined service but has materially failed to provide that service, customers should first contact AOS Office so that the matter can be reviewed and, where appropriate, corrected.
Depending upon the circumstances, AOS may offer:
- Completion of the pending service;
- Correction or reasonable re-performance;
- Rescheduling;
- Service adjustment;
- Partial refund; or
- Full refund where appropriate.
The appropriate remedy will depend on the service purchased, the contractual terms, the extent of performance and applicable law.
14. Duplicate or Excess Payments
If a customer accidentally makes a duplicate payment or pays more than the amount invoiced, AOS Office may verify the transaction and, after confirmation, process the eligible excess amount for refund or adjustment.
Customers should provide sufficient transaction information to help AOS identify the payment accurately.
15. Payment Gateway and Processing Charges
Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways, banks or other authorized payment channels.
Where a refund is approved, the amount actually refundable may be affected by transaction-specific charges that cannot be recovered from the payment processor, where deduction of such charges is permitted by the applicable service terms and law.
AOS Office will not impose an arbitrary refund deduction merely by labeling an amount as a processing fee. Any applicable deduction should relate to an actual and permissible cost or contractual condition.
16. How to Request a Refund
Customers seeking a refund should contact AOS Office as soon as reasonably possible.
A refund request should preferably include:
- Customer name;
- Registered email address or mobile number;
- Service purchased;
- Date of payment;
- Transaction or invoice reference;
- Amount paid;
- Reason for requesting the refund; and
- Relevant supporting documents, if applicable.
Refund requests may be submitted through the contact details published on the AOS Office website.
Email: info@aosoffice.com
17. Refund Review Process
After receiving a refund request, AOS Office may review the customer's payment records, service agreement, invoice, correspondence, appointment records, work completed and other relevant information.
AOS may contact the customer for additional information where necessary.
The objective of the review is to determine whether the requested refund is applicable under the relevant service terms and applicable law.
AOS Office aims to communicate the outcome of a legitimate refund request within a reasonable period after receiving the information required to evaluate the request.
18. Refund Method and Processing
Where a refund is approved, AOS Office will normally attempt to process the refund through the original payment method where technically and legally possible.
The time required for the refunded amount to appear in the customer's bank account, card account or payment account may depend upon the payment gateway, bank or financial institution.
AOS Office does not control the internal processing time of a bank, card issuer or payment gateway.
19. Circumstances Where a Refund May Not Be Available
Subject to applicable law and the specific service agreement, a refund may not be available in circumstances including:
- The service has already been substantially completed.
- A personalized digital or professional service has already been prepared and delivered.
- The customer has used the agreed service or consumed the appointment.
- The customer changes their mind after substantial work has already been performed.
- A third-party service has already been purchased or activated and the amount cannot reasonably be recovered.
- The customer fails to provide information, documents, access or approvals necessary for completion.
- The customer's own action or omission prevents completion of the service.
- The customer has provided materially incorrect information affecting the service.
- The requested refund relates solely to an expected commercial, matrimonial, business, investment or personal outcome that AOS never guaranteed.
These circumstances are not intended to override any mandatory statutory consumer protection or other legal entitlement.
20. Fraudulent Transactions and Unauthorised Payments
If a customer believes that a payment was made without authorization, the customer should immediately contact AOS Office and the relevant bank or payment provider.
AOS Office may investigate disputed transactions and may request appropriate information to verify the payment.
Where a payment dispute or chargeback is initiated, AOS Office reserves the right to provide the relevant transaction, service and communication records to the payment processor or financial institution as permitted by law.
21. Misuse of the Refund Process
AOS Office supports legitimate refund requests.
However, deliberate misuse of the refund process, fraudulent payment disputes, false statements, repeated unauthorized chargebacks or attempts to obtain services without payment may be investigated and may result in suspension or termination of the relevant service relationship, subject to applicable law.
22. Force Majeure and Events Beyond Reasonable Control
AOS Office may occasionally be unable to provide a service on the expected schedule because of circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including major technical failures, telecommunications interruptions, natural disasters, government restrictions, public emergencies, cyber incidents, payment network failures, third-party outages or other exceptional circumstances.
In such circumstances, AOS Office may first attempt to reschedule, continue or otherwise reasonably complete the service.
Where completion is not reasonably possible, the appropriate refund or adjustment, if any, will be considered based on the amount of service already provided, unavoidable costs and applicable law.
23. International Customers
AOS Office may provide certain online services to customers located outside India.
International customers should understand that the service may be provided by an India-based service provider and may be subject to Indian law, applicable contractual terms and the rules governing the relevant payment transaction.
Currency conversion charges, international banking charges, intermediary bank charges, foreign exchange differences and similar banking costs may be outside the control of AOS Office.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the law applicable to a particular customer or transaction.
24. Consumer Protection and Legal Rights
AOS Office intends this Refund Policy to operate consistently with applicable consumer protection and other laws.
The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 provide a regulatory framework concerning consumer protection, e-commerce services and grievance redressal in India. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
Accordingly, this policy should not be interpreted as removing, restricting or waiving a consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
Where a dispute concerns a service deficiency, unfair trade practice, unauthorized transaction or another matter protected by applicable law, the customer may retain any remedies available under the relevant legal framework.
25. Personal Information in Refund Requests
Information provided during a refund request may include transaction details, contact information, bank-related information and supporting documents.
Such information will be handled in accordance with the AOS Office Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements.
AOS Office may retain necessary transaction and refund records for accounting, tax, legal, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention and compliance purposes.
26. Refund Disputes and Grievance Resolution
Customers are encouraged to contact AOS Office first so that any refund-related concern can be reviewed and resolved directly.
AOS Office will make reasonable efforts to investigate genuine complaints and provide an appropriate response.
If a matter cannot be resolved through direct communication, the customer may pursue any remedy available under applicable law.
Nothing in this Refund Policy prevents a consumer from exercising a statutory right or approaching a competent authority or consumer forum where legally available.
27. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Refund Policy shall be interpreted together with the applicable AOS Office Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer and any service-specific agreement.
Subject to mandatory legal rights and applicable statutory jurisdiction, the services and contractual relationship with AOS Office shall be governed by the laws of India.
The principal jurisdiction for matters concerning AOS Office is Tamil Nadu, India, subject always to the jurisdiction that applicable law may confer upon courts, consumer commissions or other competent authorities.
28. Changes to This Refund Policy
AOS Office may periodically update this Refund Policy to reflect changes in services, business procedures, technology or applicable legal requirements.
The latest version published on this website will represent the current Refund Policy for future transactions unless a different written agreement applies.
Customers are encouraged to review the policy before purchasing a service.
